The National Weather Service issues alerts during extreme weather, including dangerously high or low temperatures. These conditions increase the risk of heat exhaustion, frostbite, or hypothermia for those without shelter.

Coordinated Street Outreach

Outreach teams are responding to requests as quickly as possible. If you or someone you see needs urgent assistance, please call 911.

During extreme weather events, Outreach Teams from several agencies work together to ensure that people living unsheltered (on the streets) are informed about and protected from upcoming winter weather. They bring them gear and offer rides to warming stations and shelters.

Donate Supplies: If you are interested in contributing during cold weather, items such as warm hats, gloves, socks, blankets, and hand warmers can offer meaningful support.
Several local organizations accept donations, including the Tulsa Day Center at 415 W. Archer. Check with individual locations for their current needs and drop-off hours.
Monetary Contributions: Every dollar helps! Your donations allow teams to purchase life-saving items and provide essential services during extreme weather.
