Housing Solutions: Four Years of Progress and Impact in Tulsa

As we mark the fourth anniversary of Housing Solutions, it’s a fitting time to celebrate the milestones and growth we’ve experienced throughout 2023. This year has been one of significant expansion, strategic development, and deeper community engagement, setting new benchmarks for our work in Tulsa.

Expanding our Impact

A Way Home for Tulsa (AWH4T) has witnessed record growth in both membership and funding, showcasing the effectiveness of our collaborative efforts:

  • Our All-Member Meetings drew significant participation, reflecting the community’s commitment to addressing homelessness.
  • The inclusion of dedicated Leadership Council seats for the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and Cherokee Nation has enriched our perspective and strategy.
  • The completion of the YHDP Grant planning process has expanded our programming, allowing us to serve more individuals in need.
  • The addition of a lived experience engagement coordinator has brought valuable insights into our initiatives, enhancing our approach to service.

Education & Training

  • Our diverse range of training sessions has covered critical topics, from understanding the complexities of homelessness to promoting racial equity and tenant rights. These sessions are vital in equipping our team and community partners with the knowledge and tools needed to address the multifaceted issues surrounding homelessness.

Specialized Initiatives

  • The Housing Stabilization and Street Outreach teams have provided essential services, focusing on long-term case management and permanent housing solutions.
  • Our Criminal Justice Initiatives have shown promising results, particularly through the Just Home Collaboration and JusticeLink, highlighting the importance of tailored support services.

Landlord Tenant Resource Center (LTRC)

  • The LTRC has faced new challenges head-on, serving a record number of individuals and successfully navigating the changing landscape of housing assistance.
  • Our Housing Navigation program has successfully rehoused numerous families, underscoring the LTRC's crucial role in our mission.

Data & Policy

  • The expansion of our Data and Policy team has enabled us to implement new strategic planning tools and improve our service delivery through thorough data analysis and review.
